Reel Plating

Reel plating is the surface coating of flat strips, stamped or preformed electrical contacts attached to a carrier strip in continuous lengths.

High speed electrochemical and electroplating processes are used together with high speed chemical engineering such as jetting-in-air plating technology.

The entire surface, otherwise small discrete selective areas, on the strip or contacts maybe plated.

Solid strips, connectors, semi-conductors and superconductors are some examples of component parts that can be plated in reel form. The same plating thickness can be achieved along the entire length of the strip or from contact to contact.
